Bhavisha
Bhavisha: Visual artist, creating art influenced by multiple continents, a consequence of being Indian by ethnicity, born and brought up in Kenya, educated in England, and now living and working in America. Majority of Bhavisha’s works are created in series. Some of note are “Buddhas on handmade paper” “Bicycles in Snow” “Bridges” “Elephant in the Room”. The common thread in her diverse art is the feeling of serenity and tranquility. Her ultimate objective for every painting is to capture the harmonious existence of different elements in nature, that evidences life is strong, calm and beautiful. Ultimately, she hopes that her art will project God’s glory in creation, and motivate respect for nature. Her works have been exhibited in several solo and group shows and are in private collections around the world.. She is a self–taught,(outsider artist), whose learning has come via, books, study, experimentation, observation and practice of her craft on a routine basis.
